Communication

Communication

At Raffles Early Childhood Centre’s, we strongly believe in the importance of communication between our team and the families we work with. We have a wide range of communication methods we use over the course of the year.

Educore App

At Raffles Early Childhood Centres, we use the Educore as our communication app for parents. Educore provides parents with current and up to date information to their mobile device in real-time and with ease of use.

After completing the registration process, you will receive an email with instructions on downloading the EducoreParent app, along with your username and password.

We are confident that this software strengthens the partnership between our centres and parents, making it easier than ever to stay engaged in your child's development. You will receive daily updates from your child’s class teacher sharing information on the learning that they have undertaken along with information on their daily routines.

Your child’s information and individual record is securely stored on the app and in line with local and international regulations.

Raffles ECC Padlet

On joining one of our Early Childhood Centre’s, the manager will share with you our ‘Parents Padlet’.

Our padlet has a wide range of information on life within our early childhood centre – including our Parent Handbook, curriculum details, information on our ‘after school’ activity programme, uniforms and so much more. Please regularly visit the padlet as the information is updated here regularly and new information may be added.

Progress Reports

We believe strongly in ensuring that parents have clear information on the progress their child is making, next steps and of course ways that they can support their child at home. Our progress reports share information on each child’s development. Comprehensive progress reports are sent home at the beginning of Term 2 and the end of Term 3.

Two Stars and a Wish

Approximately 6 weeks after a child joins us, we will ask parents to meet with us at a mutually convenient time for our ‘Two Stars and a Wish’ meeting. This is an opportunity for parents to meet the teacher and discuss how each child has settled. Our team will also highlight ‘two stars’ - this is a celebration of two areas in which a child is doing well. We will then share a ‘wish’ that we would like to work in partnership with you on.

Parent- Teacher Meetings

After each progress report is issued, we organise parent- teacher meetings. This is a chance for parents to come into the setting and see children’s work and to discuss with their child’s class teacher the shared report. We encourage parents to come and enjoy this celebration of their child’s learning and ask any questions that they may have.

Parent Information Sessions

Throughout the year we offer a range of parent information sessions and workshops. These tend to be on topics that parents have requested or that we feel would be beneficial. Our programme includes:

  • Curriculum information
  • Choosing a school/ school curriculum
  • Sleep help
  • Nutrition
  • Positive Behaviour management

Parents are encouraged to join these sessions and share ideas for future sessions!

We encourage parents to communicate with us regularly, sharing information on their child and any feedback and suggestions they may have on all aspects of our Early Childhood Centres.
