Our Clinic
All Raffles Early Childhood Centres have a Dubai Health Authority licensed clinic that ensures that the children in our care are provided with the very best medical care.
OUR NURSING TEAM
Our nursing team provided medical care at all our Early Childhood Centres. Our team keep your child’s medical records securely within the clinics. We ask that you ensure the currency of the information that we have on your child, by sharing any newly diagnosed medical conditions, allergies and vaccinations.
If your child becomes unwell at school, the nurse will contact you and ask you to collect your child as soon as possible. The nurse will then share with you any relevant guidance in relation to exclusion periods if the illness is contagious. When a child is unwell, they want to have time to rest and recover and so we ask that you keep them at home. It is important that in line with our policy, a child remains home until they have been symptom-free for 24 hours without medication that may mask the symptoms.
If your child becomes unwell at home we request that you contact the Early Childhood Centre to notify them that your child will be absent and the reason. This allows us to track any patterns of illness and take any necessary measures.
In the event that the nurse needs to administer medicine at school (eg: to complete a course of medicine or perhaps to administer a nebuliser) we ask that you take the medicine directly to the clinic, along with a copy of the prescription (under no circumstances should medicine be left in a child’s bag) and hand it to the nurse and complete the required medicine administration form.
If your child is attended to by our nurse, a note will be shared with you on Educore,
Our nurses also work to ensure that the children have information on healthy lifestyles – through a nutritious diet, excercise and a range of wellbeing activities.
Our nurses are always available to answer any questions that parents may have and provide guidance in a number of areas, including common childhood illnesses, vaccinations, etc.
